ECTS Credit Points

You still need ECTS credit points for the completion of your studies? Great, you can get them – as usual of course there are a few requirements.

Requirements for ECTS Credit Points

Students can gain 3 or 6 ECTS credit points for the Summer School 2011. The amount of credit points gained depends on the amount of work done by you before, during and after the Summer School.

Please be aware that 1 ECTS point equals 30 hours of work.

Students are kindly requested to check with their home universities, whether there are any special regulations concerning the gaining of ECTS points by means of attending the Summer School.

In order to gain credit points, each student has to hand in a written assignment to the supervisor of the seminar attended during the Summer School.

The topic of your seminar paper/essay should be discussed with your instructor.

Respective supervisors, will then correct and mark them. As soon as you know the mark, please contact the organisation team of the Summer School. Christina Steffen, with assistance of Dr. Ursula Kluwick, will then provide you with a confirmation sheet affirming your ECTS credit points.

Unless agreed otherwise with your supervisor, the deadline of your paper is the official end of the Autumn Semester of the Universities Bern and Basel, 31 January 2012.

Attendance of all lectures and your chosen seminar is compulsory in order to gain ECTS credit points.

Amount of Work

This is what you are expected to do in order to get:
